On Dec. 8, six Iowa residents were taken into custody for possession of various drugs after two raids were conducted. The first drug raid occurred in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue NW in Waukon while the second search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 1600 block of Arrowhead Lane in New Albin.
During the first search, four people were taken into police custody after being accused of drug possession. A 53-year-old man was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was facing additional charges for possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 30-year-old man, a 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were also facing charges for possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
During the second search, a 48-year-old woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. A second person at this residence was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
